At the beginning of the day, your group receives a set of cards. You will get the opportunity to study all the cards and make a game plan for the remainder of the day. You decide which card to play when, but keep in mind you’ll have to report back at the end of the day!
Once you have found the location you have to carry out an assignment. This will depend on the type of card you are playing. The three categories are: interview, action and observation. An interview is pretty straightforward: you’ll have to interview somebody. An action card requires you to do something. For example: take a couple of pictures. And the observation card, yes you guessed it, requires you to observe something. You may have to record a small detail of a statue or find an item in a museum. Of course, you will have to provide those judging the competition with evidence.
At the end of the first day, you will report back to your home base where a panel of judges (your teachers) will decide whether you have in act successfully completed your assignments. They will need to take a look at your evidence so be sure to have it at the ready!
That is not all however…. Once you have played all your cards on the first day, and the judges have seen your evidence, you will receive some hints that will help you solve the ultimate mystery: who is Jack the Ripper. This evidence will help you find a secret location (on the second day) where you have to solve a few more puzzles to discover the identity of our suspect
